Art is a powerful tool. I've come to see it as a stress-buster, a make-you-smile activity and a hope-giver when times are not very pleasant, especially when a pandemic is raging.

I recently discovered watercolours and I can't seem to get enough of them. Talk about meditation- this is it! Books have always been a thing I held close to my heart and 'Little Women' is definitely one of my all time favourites.

If you haven't read the book already, I feel you should definitely pick it up. You can order my favourite copy from amazon here -

Here's a painting I did that lies in the intersection of both of those amazing ideas.

We all, from time to time, venture into unknown territory in terms of art and creativity. Who knows where a jewel's hidden?

Hope you are well and wishing you the presence of art in your life.

This is inspired by Emily Gould. Thanks to her for being excited at what she does! I have something to say - read the following slowly and mindfully, will you?

Today, I noticed how I'm not alone. When watching this video about Emily talking about using journalling to improve our creative writing, I felt liberated. A feeling that had been weighing upon me since quite some time, suddenly lifted off, unveiling a light, feathery acceptance towards my thoughts.

I've always questioned my own ability to write things; forget about beautiful things for now! Successful creatives have pointed out that it's the bad writers who are proud of their work whereas the good ones are seldom satisfied. I agree that they mean it in a sense of striving to be a better version of oneself, but why would I deny myself the pleasure of dwelling in the pride of creating something that's original and entirely 'of my own'?

This may not be the best thing I've written or will write but writing this happens to be one of the best things that occurred today !

Today, I noticed how I get filled with this amazing energy when I decide to be a writer (yes, I'm calling myself one!), when I look at other writers who weave strands of sentences from pearly, glistening beads of words. This exquisite yet serenely simple endeavour of putting together thoughts that make absolute sense to someone who's on the other side of time and space!

Today, I noticed how deeply I'm filled with gratitude because I get to enjoy the little moments of joy so completely. I wish everyone can find something in their own life that may, in no way, be connected to their vocation but be some nook that one can always turn to, for shelter, in any circumstance - be it elation or depression.

Today, I noticed that I love many things and people in life and that I'm simply and presently happy!

This piece of writing is raw and unedited. I hope it put a smile on your face, like it did on mine!

▪️Assertion: A linguistic act; either spoken or written that has a truth value, which can be true, false or indeterminate.

▪️Proposition: Is the content of your assertion; the meaning of what you are saying. Your assertion may change based on the language you are saying it in but the meaning remains the same, hence the proposition.

▪️What we think while we are proposing something constitutes *Propositional Attitude of Belief and Disbelief*

Belief: Propositional attitude of truth

Knowledge: Justified true belief

Justification: Evidence of something being as it is;

Comes from Testimony, most of the times.

First person observation over time.

So, to know something, we must first believe that thing and that belief must be true.

We can have false beliefs but not false knowledge

Eg: if you knew something and later, it turns out to be false, then you never knew that thing at all. You just had a belief.

Likewise, if you believed something and accidentally, it turned out to be true, this doesn’t count as knowledge as well.

EDMUND GETTIER:

Proposed Gettier cases: Where you have justified true belief but not knowledge.

So, jones had 10 coins and his boss told smith that he would get the job. This led smith to believe that the person who got the job had 10 coins. Smith gets the job and turns out he has 10 coins as well. Justified (boss gave evidence) true ( he counted 10 coins ) and belief. But turns out the boss lied.

Smith didn’t know! He just stumbled into the truth.

You don’t know something if you simply stumbled into the right answer.
